Animal Shelters & Rescue Groups
4 Paws Pet Rescue
  4 Paws Pet Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and providing lifetime quality homes for homeless dogs. 4 Paws is run by volunteers who spend much of their lives helping animals in need.
Animal Place
  Animal Place, founded in 1989, is a nonprofit sanctuary for abused and discarded farmed animals. Rescued individuals and indigenous wildlife share 60 acres of forest, meadow, pasture, hills and small lake.
Benicia-Vallejo Humane Society
  Please come to the shelter and fill out an application. We do animal control background checks and check with landlords. We also do a fence check if adopting a dog.
NorCal Boxer Rescue
  NorCal Boxer Rescue of California provides a sanctuary for boxers in need throughout California. Boxers come to us from shelters, as strays, and from owners who need to give up their dogs due to changing life circumstances such as: relocation,financial hardship, divorce, illness, or death.
NorCal Collie Rescue
  The NorCal Collie Rescue was founded by collie lovers to rescue and rehome purebred rough and smooth collies in California outside the area covered by Southland Collie Rescue.
Northern California Sled Dog Rescue
  Northern California Sled Dog Rescue (NorSled) is an all-volunteer non-profit group which rescues, rehabilitates and finds new homes for unwanted, abused and abandoned Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, American Eskimo and Northern-breed mixes in many Northern California Counties We work closely with rescues in other areas of California and can refer owners in crisis or potential adopters to the rescue nearest them.

Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue Inc.
  Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue, Inc. is located in Northern California. We are a nonprofit organization recognized by both the IRS and the state of California. We are made up of a small group of volunteers who donate their own time and money to rescue the Rotties.
Solano County Animal Care Services
  Solano County Animal Care Services, a Division of General Services Department, is located in Fairfield, California.
Solano County Animal Rescue Foundation
  SCARF is a non-profit foundation operated by a group of volunteers with the Solano County Animal Shelter. SCARF provides appointments and transportation to and from a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. We also place homeless animals (dogs cats and rabbits) who have landed in the Solano County Shelter into permanent loving homes through our mobile adoption events in a variety of locations in Solano County.
Solano County Friends of Animals
  Thousands of animals in our community are put to death each year due to overpopulation. Solano County Friends of Animals (SCFOA) is a group of animal loving volunteers who are dedicated to reducing the population of unwanted and abandoned pets in Solano County by providing an adoption service for homeless pets and by actively working to reduce the number of feral cats in Solano County through Trap/Neuter/Return.
SPCA of Solano County
  The S.P.C.A. of Solano County is a non-profit organization, 501(c)3, that serves as a temporary home for abandoned and surrendered animals. The shelter has existed in Vacaville for 30 years. Since 2003 we have operated as a no-kill shelter, arranging adoptions for approximately 1200 animals each year.
Yolo County SPCA
  Yolo County SPCA offers dog, cat and small animal adoptions through our successful adoption program. Each year we are able to place dozens of dogs, cats, and other pets into caring and safe homes.

Toad Hollow Dog Park ~ Davis
  Toad Hollow Dog Park is located at 1919 Second Street (between L Street and the Pole Line Road overcrossing). This two-and-a-half acre park provides plenty of room for your dog to play.
Wardlaw Dog Park ~ Vallejo
  The dog park is 2.2 acres, fully landscaped with an interior walking path, exterior walking path, cool water dispenser, 5 poop bag dispensers, a small/shy/older dog area with its own gate and enclosure. The park area itself has plenty of parking, bathrooms, picnic area and a bridge that connects the park to the Blue Rock Springs corridor - a 2+ mile walking path. The dog park is handicap accessible and has benches & tables, trees and lots of lovely grass for the pups to romp.
