Official Grand
Opening, April 27, 2003
 More than 300 people and their dogs
attended the official Dog Park Grand Opening on Sunday, April
27th. Vacaville Mayor, Len
Augustine, dog park Founder, Janine
Jordan-Lilja, and dog park Architect, Bob
Farrington held the scissors and cut the ribbon officially
launching the dog park!
 Police Officer John Miller
dedicated a golden fire hydrant in memory of his K9 partner,
Panto, which rests under the newly
constructed kiosk.
The new drinking fountain, designed and built by Greg Bosley, was put to the test,
and
throughout the day dogs of all sizes played and chased each
other all over the park!
Rollie Simmons, Vacaville
Superintendent of Parks, donated several picnic tables and
benches! Many businesses donated time,
money or products to help get the dog park up and running. A HUGE
thank you to everyone involved!
